Interview with Chuck Slingerland, Vice President of Barberan Corrugated NA and Kenneth Spence, Sales Development at SuperCorrExpo 2024.
We are here representing Barberan S.A., the North American division at SuperCorrExpo 2024. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the company or our equipment, we manufacture single-pass digital printing equipment as well as other machinery for multiple industries. We serve five industries, but today we are focusing on corrugated equipment.
For those who don’t know, we have over 100 installations worldwide.
We are the longest-running name in single-pass printing, or the most prevalent name, due to the number of installations we have.
Behind us, you can see our Jetmaster 2.0, a single-pass printing device for corrugated sheets. It prints up to 120 meters per minute at 600 nozzles per inch, providing high-resolution prints. With an uptime capability of 82% and high-speed printing, it is the most productive device in single-pass printing systems.
Chuck Slingerland: Unlike some other manufacturers that offer a single solution, Barberan is a machine-building company, allowing us to provide up to 24 different features and custom builds. We offer three different sizes and two different speeds. Our oldest asset in the United States, from 2015, is still running two shifts a day and remains the most productive device for that company.
In 2020, we introduced the Jetmaster 2.0 with 600 DPI resolution. Fujifilm approached us several years ago, recognizing a need in the retail market for a single-pass device to support companies with onsets
We now offer a configuration series that ranges from entry-level manual feed and stack to highly automated top feed and stack systems.
Our unique ink set with Fujifilm allows us to print on paper, plastic, synthetics, foam boards, corrugated boards, and gator boards without using primers. This machine runs up to 80 meters per minute, depending on the client’s needs.
