The company reported consolidated sales of CHF 828.2 million, a 1.7% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
This growth was driven by higher service sales, while equipment and spare parts sales remained stable.
However, the operating result (EBIT) decreased to CHF 34.7 million from CHF 46.8 million in the previous year, primarily due to higher personnel and marketing costs associated with the drupa exhibition. Net income also saw a significant drop, reaching CHF 7.7 million compared to CHF 41.3 million in 2023.
Despite a 15% decline in order entries and a 35% lower order backlog at the end of June, Bobst Group remains optimistic about the second half of the year. The company anticipates a positive impact from the successful drupa exhibition but remains cautious due to potential geopolitical uncertainties and industry slowdowns in certain regions.
