Under the theme “FUTURE PROOF: Unboxing tomorrow’s corrugated solutions today,” ePS will present its latest advancements aimed at transforming the industry.
These include cutting-edge automation, significant energy savings with ePS Escada corrugator process and control systems, and advanced plant floor data collection and quality checks, all designed to redefine efficiency, sustainability, and productivity.
At the event, ePS will highlight the transformative power of its latest corrugated control innovations within its Escada portfolio. The Escada Automatic Corrugator Warp Control system automates production processes regardless of machine age, reducing reliance on skilled operators and enhancing operational efficiency.
Golden West Stockton, a sheet plant in Stockton, USA, has experienced the benefits of ePS Escada solutions. The company reported a 20% increase in productivity, stating, “This combination of higher throughput coupled with reduced waste has meant that we have not worked a whole five-day week since the first full week of September (2023). Our MSF per corrugator hour has increased in less time – we’re running what we did in 5 days now in 4.“In addition to the warp control offering, the new Escada Energy solution significantly reduces corrugator steam and electrical energy consumption, supporting sustainability initiatives while driving cost savings. Real-world results include a 2.5-5% reduction in overall steam consumption and up to 60% reduction of trim fan power usage based on trim width, board grade, and speed.
Another innovation is Escada Reliability, a predictive maintenance tool that anticipates and prevents potential equipment failures, ensuring seamless operations and increased uptime. This tool can be used as a standalone maintenance solution or to complement an existing CMMS system, enhancing the quality of results with real-time data.
The Corrugated Suite features a new web-based plant floor data collection system developed for corrugated. This system provides real-time data and insights that enhance efficiency and productivity, supported by plant floor Quality Checks to improve the board-to-converting process while reducing waste and downtime.
Additionally, ePS will showcase technologies including converting scheduling, corrugator trimming, and roll stock inventory management.
ePS will also introduce its Workbench and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, set to transform manufacturing management. The Workbench offers real-time, web-based dashboards with widgets tailored to individual users, ensuring personalized and immediate access to critical data.
Complementing Workbench is ePS’ robust BI capabilities, delivering powerful insights from extensive data sets to enable data-driven decisions confidently.
Visitors to SuperCorrExpo 2024 can experience these solutions and more at eProductivity Software’s booth 1977 from September 8 to 12 in Orlando, USA.
