Interview with Edi Perets, Solutions Architect & CSM at SuperCorrExpo 2024.
Please tell us about your company and your products.
First of all, is our Beam 2C. It has two options. You can go with nonstop or pallet to pallet.
Highcon Systems Ltd. is a company that specializes in digital cutting and creasing solutions for the packaging industry. Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Yavne, Israel, Highcon develops innovative digital systems that transform traditional finishing processes into value-adding steps. Their technology is used for converting paper, labels, folding cartons, and micro-flute materials.
You can come and show.
Right now we’re seeing a pallet to pallet version. Obviously, it uses the same core technology of creasing matrix. So you have the option to go with physical scoring and then laser cutting. What we have here today are samples from our customers.
We have different types of samples. I want to share some innovations in packaging.
What is it?
These are Hexpand boxes produced by the BoxMaker. These hex bands offer two options: either you go with suspension packaging or retention packaging. As you can see here, once you put the product in, let’s redo it again so you can put a product somewhere in the box. You squeeze this one.
And then you can see that the product stays intact. You get security for your product, and there is no need for foam once you use it. So, foam replacement, better sustainable packaging. And also for security and protection. We have some other designs over here.
You can see one side can be a custom insert, and the other side can be this suspension. Yes. So once the products are inside, they’re secured. Different examples here. What’s nice about it is with the high corner, with laser cutting, you can get really fine details and accomplish it more easily than with a conventional die cutter.
Right here, you can see the intricacy and how tight you get in intersections, which is quite a problem when you try to do it with a normal die. You can also etch cutting. Here you can see the nick sizes and the perforation style.
So different styles, different perforations. These open pretty easily. You can try them and see how clean the cut is and the amount of detail you can achieve.
Here with packaging, this is an example from Europe. You can see the brand. Beautiful cutouts. It can be printed or unprinted. Look at the details and branding your product with just beautiful cutouts. You can get very creative, very detailed, and also practical.
Okay, so we have two parts here. One is the sleeve that goes on top of this box and creates better shelf appeal. Also, very practical for your brand or product.
We had a very busy two days at the beginning. Today is pretty light, but we’re still hoping to get more traction. Again, we’re happy to get along and see more and more people. Hopefully, this show will lead to some good business in the US.
Thank you, Eddie, for the interesting stories and the funny, interesting product.
Yeah. I’ve never seen something like this. It’s very beautiful. What a good idea.
