The solution needed to be user-friendly and quick to handle for both customers and retailers, while maintaining a sleek appearance without visible tear lines.
Initially, Good!D proposed a packaging concept, but Smurfit Westrock identified an opportunity to better meet their objectives with an improved alternative. The final product was a two-piece solution that minimized material use and streamlined production processes.
This design achieved a 30% cost reduction and lowered CO2 emissions during production through optimized machine routing. Additionally, its glue-free assembly improved both sustainability and efficiency.
