After 25 years with the company, Ralf Sammeck, CEO of Koenig & Bauer Sheetfed and CDO of Koenig & Bauer, will retire on June 30, 2025.
He has been a member of the Executive Board since 2007 and has played a pivotal role in steering the strategic direction of the Sheetfed segment.
Under his leadership, the market share tripled, and the product portfolio expanded to include prepress software, postpress machines, and digital printing solutions.
“Ralf Sammeck has succeeded in continuously establishing the Sheetfed segment as a complete solution provider and expanding market leadership in the packaging sector,” said Dr. Andreas Pleßke, CEO of Koenig & Bauer.
“In doing so, he has positioned the division for the future. With his instinct for customers and markets, he is a role model for the sales team worldwide.”
To ensure a smooth transition, Markus Weiss has been appointed as the new Managing Director/CEO of Koenig & Bauer Sheetfed, effective February 1, 2025.
Weiss, previously General Manager EMEA at HP Industrial Printing, brings nearly 20 years of industry experience and a strong international network.
He will report to the Executive Board and continue to drive the company’s growth and innovation in the packaging sector.

This appointment is specifically aimed at strengthening the division, which includes Koenig & Bauer Celmacch, ensuring continued innovation and leadership in the market.
