“Our new development fully automates the corrugated cardboard production,” says Alberto Fioriti, CEO of Emmepi Group.

“Emmepi Group has installed its first robotic palletizer for a folder-gluer line in July. The new Robotica division, which the company introduced just a few months ago, has now developed a system for automating folder-gluer lines that becomes a reality.”
Emmepi Group, with its new Robotica division, specially created for robots, has developed a new robotic palletizer, creating a new concept of “gripper” for palletizing most types of boxes coming out of the folder-gluer. The developed gripper uses both a self-locking vacuum system and a mechanical blade for handling.
The system can pick up boxes in three modes: using vacuum, blades or both systems. The gripper also allows to align the stacks, achieving a quality similar to that of a traditional palletizer. The robot also allows to quickly change the format, optimizing the production time.
“This is a significant step forward for Emmepi Group, which has always invested part of its income in research and innovation, allowing it to offer ready-made solutions for corrugated production, confirming our leadership in the sector as a leading partner for customized solutions,” adds Alessandro Bersanetti, President of Emmepi Group.
“Emmepi Group decided to aim for the highest quality, choosing the best brands on the market for automation products, including the ABB robot, which offers the most advanced software, maximum speed and reliability, as well as a worldwide network of after-sales service and support.”
