Dedicated to the EMEA region, it combines the logistics capabilities of seven smaller warehouses. Open 24/7. Orders before 21:00 are shipped the next day

“While it was impossible to predict world events of recent years and subsequent consequences for our industry such as shortages of materials and manpower, we did correctly identify the overall packaging industry trends,” says Jean-Pascal Bobst, CEO, Bobst Group.
“While these trends have undoubtedly been accelerated, BOBST has implemented a strategy and built a portfolio of solutions and services that enables converters and brand owners to thrive even in this new packaging world.”
One of the steps was to further improve the delivery of products and parts: in the Belgian city of Genk, the company opened a fully automated logistics hub to serve the countries of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The new warehouse brings together the logistical capabilities of seven smaller warehouses of BOBST.
The hub is built using modern technologies, powered by solar and wind energy, equipped with a water recuperation system and surrounded by green areas.
The level of automation gives the ability to serve customers 24/7. Orders placed before 21:00 are shipped the next day. Customers can track orders throughout the delivery process.
At the first stage, within 11 weeks, Genk will receive 52,000 part numbers from Switzerland with a total weight of about 1,000 tons (160 trucks are used for moving).
In the future, the assortment of the logistics center will grow up to 100,000 parts for all BOBST product lines.
