Interview with Xavier Gavalda, Europe Export Manager of DGM Global and Miquel Gavalda, Director of DGM Europe.
How do you like the show today?
It’s been very interesting so far. This is our fourth drupa, and we are quite happy with the way things are going.
DGM is a global enterprise with Chinese ownership, located in Huizhou, nestled between Shenzhen and Guangzhou, and in close proximity to Hong Kong. We specialize in manufacturing carton converting equipment, producing a diverse range of machines for both folding and corrugated cartons.
Over recent years, we’ve experienced significant growth, now producing nearly 600 machines annually, with 25% designated for export. Our global strategy has led to the opening of a DGM branch in Europe, complementing our branches in India and Vietnam, allowing us to serve all European customers from our office in Barcelona.
We have 40,000 corrugated manufacturers as our subscribers. Do you have anything interesting for them?
We offer an extensive product range for corrugated manufacturers, including our Smartflute laminator and our Technocut flatbed die cutter, which are well-suited for the corrugated industry.
Miki Gavalda, the director of DGM Europe: here at drupa, we’re excited to introduce our new model, the Smartfold 1100, designed specifically for folding cartons. We also offer solutions for corrugated boards with our Technofold and Megafold lines.
The Technofold starts at a format of 800 to 1450, while the Megafold ranges from 1450 up to 1850, capable of processing up to five layers of corrugated board. These machines are built heavy-duty to handle corrugated materials effectively.
In addition to folder-gluers, we offer a complete line of products, including cutters specifically designed for corrugated materials, weighing around 40 tons and known for their robustness and efficiency in the industry.
We also provide carton laminators, available in two models: the Smartflute and the Smartflute Pro, both ensuring high precision and accuracy.
