corruga.expert congratulates Andrea Simonetti on his appointment as Emmepi Group’s new Area Sales Director for Latin America, Spain and Portugal.

Simonetti has only just joined Emmepi: his appointment was announced on 27 July 2026. The 13 years refer to his previous career at Fosber, where he started in 2013 as a credit-control specialist. In 2015 he moved to the After Sales department.

In 2019, after Fosber acquired Tiruña, he worked on the integration of the business, and in 2020 he became After Sales Manager at Quantum Corrugated. At the end of 2022 he moved into sales, and from 2024 he served as Fosber Area Sales Manager for Iberia, the Southern Cone, Central and South America and the Caribbean. This progression explains why he understands finance, service and sales — not only the machinery itself.
His new responsibility is clear: develop new business, coordinate regional sales activity and manage key accounts across three important markets. For Emmepi, this is not only about selling individual machines. The goal is to win more complete automation projects covering material flow, palletising, strapping, wrapping, robotics and plant logistics.
The timing is important. Emmepi will present its stand at ACCCSA 2026 in Guatemala City from 25 to 27 August, while Latin American corrugated producers continue to invest in efficiency, labour reduction and internal logistics. At the same time, suppliers including Fosber, BHS Corrugated and BW Papersystems are also strengthening their presence in the region.
Emmepi already has a major reference in Latin America. At Klabin’s Piracicaba II plant in Brazil, the company supplied an automated flow system linking two corrugators, nine printers, WIP storage, palletising and finished-goods handling. Simonetti can now use this project as a concrete example when discussing how plant automation can reduce bottlenecks, labour requirements and production delays.

For corrugated producers, the practical benefit should be faster communication, better continuity from the first layout discussion to installation and after-sales support, and a commercial contact who already understands both Iberia and Latin America.
Simonetti’s background is particularly relevant because he has worked in finance, service and sales. That combination matters when automation decisions must satisfy both production teams and company budgets.
The real measure of this appointment will be new projects, faster decisions and stronger regional support. corruga.expert wishes Andrea Simonetti every success in his new role with Emmepi Group.
