An increase of 30% compared to the ‘covid’ 2021 year, and minus the same percentage compared to the ‘pre-covid’ 2019. Nonetheless, FachPack 2022 has become the largest thematic offline event in Europe after the pandemic (CCE International 2022 gathered 10.6 thousand guests and 474 exhibitors)

“FachPack is mainly a European fair. This year about one-quarter of exhibitors came from outside the European Union. Every third visitor was from a foreign country,” says Heike Slotta, Executive Director Exhibitions NürnbergMesse.
“Trade fairs are melting pots for new ideas that make the future tangible. Of course, given the pandemic, the war in Ukraine, rising energy costs, and inflation, the near future is going to be anything but rosy. But that is precisely why we need to talk about how we intend to shape the transition (the key theme of FachPack 2022 was Transition in Packaging).

“To borrow the jargon of the consumer goods industry, the transition itself has become a fast-moving commodity since sustainability and digitalization have picked up speed, and consumer expectations and the overall situation are constantly changing.”
Next to FachPack regulars such as Durst, Epson, Esko, Fujifilm, Heidelberg, Henkel, Köra-Packmat, Kongsberg, Konica Minolta, Mimaki, Mitsubishi, Mondi, Rexroth, Sappi, Screen, Stora Enso, Toyo and Zünd, companies from Turkey, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia made their presence felt at the show.
Powtech, a parallel trade fair at NürnbergMesse, added 494 exhibitors to the three-day event.
The next FachPack fair will take place from September 24 to 26, 2024. From May 4 to 10, 2023, Düsseldorf will host an equally large exhibition for the packaging industry Interpack.
