Interview with Roberto Paredi, Sales Manager-Senior Engineer at Print4All.
Our company operates in the corrugated board industry. We specialize in systems for paper alignment and tension control—specifically, aligning the liner in relation to the fluting and ensuring consistent web tension.
Why is this important? Because we want to increase the quality and strength of the box. For strong boxes, you need stable tension across the web. We also aim to boost production efficiency. Typically, when switching box formats, you must slow down the machine, make adjustments, and restart. But with our systems, this is no longer necessary—you can maintain maximum speed while the equipment automatically adapts to new settings.
Erhardt & Leimer Inc. is a leading global supplier of automation technology and system solutions for web control, web guiding, and web inspection. The company specializes in providing high-quality machinery and technology for various industries, including textile, paper, corrugating, film, tire, rubber, non-woven, and printing
— Would you like to see an example?
Here’s a corrugator line—our equipment is highlighted in red. For example, on the single facer, we manage paper alignment with the flute. Then, further along the bridge, we ensure alignment between single facer 1 and the subsequent liner positions—wall 1 and wall 2.
We also provide tension controllers for the outer liner and use a compensator roll, which balances differences in web tension between the left and right sides. The compensator roll is easy to install and can be integrated at various points on the line.
Next, we have a camera-guided unit called TrimMaster. This device tracks the exact paper position and adjusts the slitter-scoring blades accordingly. It ensures you cut in exactly the right place.
We also offer a cleaning unit that removes dust and debris, helping to maintain consistent quality.
This is what Erhardt+Leimer brings to the corrugated market: smart red devices that improve alignment, tension, cutting accuracy, and cleanliness.
— Yes, I wasn’t expecting that! You cover a lot of areas—even slitting and trimming.
Exactly. Our goal is clear: to improve both box quality and production output.
— All right. Thank you, Roberto, for the presentation.
— Thank you too!
