“HighConnect gives us all the data we need to evaluate our investment in our new equipment,” says Jean-Paul Wheater, Continual Improvement Manager, Linney. Last year the company was the first in the UK to install a Highcon Beam 2 digital cutting and creasing machine

“It’s great software that eliminates manual data collection, showing us run rates and make ready times to make sure we are running as efficiently as we can,” he adds.
HighConnect monitors every stage of the Highcon system production process, including system status, speeds, job setups and production time.
Platform reports enable users to identify and track current and ongoing trends for improved planning purposes and staff expertise. Reports are displayed as graphs and charts.

“HighConnect is the next step in performance reporting for digital finishing, significantly reducing the amount of time needed to run analysis and enabling operators to accelerate productivity,” comments Haim Veig, Head of Products at Highcon Systems.
“It supports our vision for a digital manufacturing strategy, providing total control of the multiple data points collected from our systems. Today’s announcement is the first step for HighConnect. We intend to continue to expand the platform to offer customers a wider range of capabilities including maintenance management and productivity control.”
The HighConnect platform provides a visual overview of production data-driven trends, on-demand, from any PC or handheld device.
It has indications of key performance metrics to keep track of production, as well as an in-depth insight into near real-time production data to be analysed by job types, substrate type and time periods.
The platform also reports on actual production vs. planned for improved planning and decision making and provides the opportunity to drill down into setup times to identify areas for self-improvement.
