LatamCORR Argentina will take place on May 13–14, 2026, at the Hilton Hotel, Buenos Aires.
We spoke with Susan Reyes, President and Business Developer of LatamCORR, about why this event matters — and why Latin America is one of the most dynamic corrugated markets in the world today.

Corruga.Expert:
LatamCORR is a relatively young exhibition. Why did you feel the need to launch a dedicated corrugated-focused event?
Susan Reyes:
LatamCORR was born as a natural extension of our long-running Latampaper events. Over time, it became clear that the corrugated industry needed its own technical, plant-oriented platform — one focused less on scale and more on real operational discussions.
Buenos Aires was a natural choice, thanks to Argentina’s strong corrugated base and its role as a regional connector for Latin America.

Corruga.Expert:
How is LatamCORR different from a traditional exhibition?
Susan Reyes:
LatamCORR is intentionally compact and highly targeted. We focus on decision-makers, engineers, plant managers, and project leaders.
There are no oversized booths. Instead, the tabletop format creates an environment for serious conversations about real projects, not just product showcases.
Corruga.Expert:
Who will visitors meet on the exhibition floor?
Susan Reyes:
Technology suppliers, machinery manufacturers, service and software providers — but equally important, professionals from corrugated board mills and box plants.
The international presence is strong, with exhibitors from Europe, North America, and Asia, reflecting global interest in the Latin American market.
Corruga.Expert:
Let’s step back. How important is Latin America as a corrugated market globally?
Susan Reyes:
Latin America is one of the most dynamic corrugated regions worldwide.

⚠️ Industry estimates (exact figures vary by source):
– The region includes 20+ countries with significant corrugated activity
– Roughly 1,500–2,000 corrugated plants (box plants and sheet feeders combined)
– Dozens of containerboard mills producing linerboard and fluting
– Annual corrugated board production estimated at 35–45 million tons
Countries like Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, and Chile are driving growth through e-commerce, FMCG demand, and industrial packaging.
Among the most influential boxmakers in the region are companies such as Smurfit Westrock, Klabin, and Cartocor — alongside many strong regional and family-owned converters.
Corruga.Expert:
What topics dominate the LatamCORR conference program?
Susan Reyes:
The focus is very practical: automation, efficiency, digitalization, maintenance strategies, sustainability, and workforce challenges.
Education is not an add-on — it’s core to the event. The goal is to help plants improve performance, not just buy equipment.
Corruga.Expert:
How do you see LatamCORR developing over the next few years?
Susan Reyes:
We expect steady growth, but we will always prioritize quality over size.
LatamCORR is about trust, knowledge exchange, and long-term relationships. That’s what gives it value — for exhibitors and visitors alike.
With its edition in Argentina, LatamCORR reinforces Buenos Aires as a strategic meeting point for the Latin American corrugated industry — where technology, expertise, and collaboration come together in a focused and professional environment.
