Interview with Aldo Arabia, Sales Manager at Zund Italia srl & Automatic Cutting System at Print4All.

— Can you show us what you have for corrugated packaging producers?

— Of course! Hello everyone. I’m presenting one of our cutting machines today. We offer a wide range of cutters in various sizes, and this one is among the smaller models—but it’s also one of the most popular in the corrugated market.

Zünd Systemtechnik AG is a Swiss company founded in 1984 and headquartered in Altstätten, Switzerland. It specializes in modular digital cutting systems used across industries such as packaging, signage, textiles, leather, and composites.

This is from our S3 Series, the model M-1600. The working area is 1.3 × 1.6 meters, so it handles sheet formats up to 1.2 × 1.6 meters. It’s a multifunctional system, meaning we can install different tools depending on the application.

As you can see here, we’ve set it up with a creasing tool on the right and a cutting tool on the left. In this demonstration, we’re using our EOT oscillating tool to cut corrugated board. It’s very fast—reaching speeds of over 1 meter per second and accelerations of more than 1 g.

The creasing tool allows pressure adjustment, depending on the flute type of the corrugated board. That’s why our software is highly optimized for this industry. In fact, we’re present worldwide with over 20,000 machines installed.

This format is one of the most relevant for the corrugated sector, but we also offer many other models. You can see more about that in our brochure or company profile.

And now the demonstration is complete—you can get a full view of the result. The operator will now assemble the piece. By adjusting the creasing pressure, we can customize the result depending on the application.

— Wow, that’s impressive. — Thank you, Aldo.

— Thank you! It was a pleasure presenting.
