Interview with Filippo Lazzaroni, Area Sales Manager at FEFCO 2025.
Feltri Marone S.p.A. is a leading Italian manufacturer of technical textiles for the paper and corrugated board industries. Founded in 1933 and headquartered in Marone, Lombardy, the company has built a strong reputation for innovation, durability, and customer-focused engineering.
Tell us about the product you’re presenting today.
We’re showcasing the Spirabelt — a high-performance belt known for its exceptional permeability. It allows the board to dry quickly, so it can be converted into boxes within minutes. One roll of SpiraBelt helps produce dry cardboard efficiently, which translates into significant energy savings. And as you know, energy efficiency is always a top priority.
That sounds impressive. Is it also sustainable?
Absolutely. Sustainability is a core feature. The market is shifting toward open-structure belts that reduce energy consumption while maintaining high product quality. With Spirabelt, you get better performance, improved board quality, and fewer cleaning issues — all while supporting a more sustainable production process.

Fewer cleaning issues? Can you explain?
Yes — the belt is self-cleaning. When starch builds up on the surface, the belt cleans itself during operation. This not only improves efficiency but also enhances safety. Operators no longer need to manually clean the belt using tools, which can be risky.
Do you offer other belt types as well?
We do. Our standard belts are versatile and adaptable to different machine setups and operator preferences. We supply belts for all types of corrugators worldwide. Thanks to our global network of agents and technicians, we’re able to support customers wherever they are.
What about installation and maintenance?
We provide full support during startup. After that, our belts — like Rhino-Hyde and Spirabelt — are designed to minimize the need for technical assistance. For example, our non-stretch belts don’t require seams, which eliminates common issues and reduces downtime. Once installed, customers can operate independently without relying heavily on technicians.

That’s very user-friendly. Any final message for potential clients?
If you have any questions or need more information, feel free to reach out. We’re here to help and happy to provide solutions tailored to your needs.
Thank you, Filippo.
Thank you very much!
