Interview with Olivier Toutin, CEO of the company, at FEFCO 2025.
Olivier, we’re here at the TCY Europe booth at FEFCO. Can you tell us what’s new and what brought you to the show this year?
We created TCY Europe last year. The purpose of this company is to serve our European customers locally — with spare parts, technical assistance, and automation support right here in Europe.
We now have technicians in Paris, including automation experts who handle the full computerization of our corrugator and converting lines.
In addition, we have local service engineers in all major markets — France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Germany, and the UK — as well as our own sales distribution team.
It’s a total investment of 5 million euros from TCY, and soon we’ll launch yourTCY.com, an online platform where customers can order parts directly and receive them within 24 hours anywhere in Europe.
Founded in 1959 in Taiwan, TCY Machinery Mfg. Co., Ltd. is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of corrugating and converting machinery for the production of corrugated board and packaging.
That’s quite a step forward. From your perspective, what should corrugated board producers focus on today?
Machines are getting more and more similar in performance. We are already among the top five suppliers in the world, maybe even top three together with our colleagues. So, the real difference today is service.
Customers expect us to solve any service issue within 24 to 48 hours. Performance matters, of course — we all believe we build the best machines — but what really keeps customers loyal in the long run is how fast and how well you support them.
How will TCY move forward in that direction?
We’ll continue investing in service, in training, and in customer education — helping users get the most out of their investment in TCY equipment.
Our goal is simple: we want TCY customers to run their plants with maximum efficiency, minimum downtime, and the confidence that support is always close by.
Thank you for your time. Thank you for the interview!
Thanks a lot!
