The Board of Directors of Valmet has named Thomas Hinnerskov as the new President and CEO of Valmet. He will take over the position during the second half of the year and no later than September 2024. He will replace Pasi Laine, who will remain as the President and CEO of Valmet until then.

Thomas Hinnerskov is a Danish citizen and was born in 1971. He comes to Valmet from Mediq B.V., where he has served as the CEO since 2022. Before that, he was the Executive Vice President at Kone in charge of South Europe, Middle East and Africa from 2021 to 2022 and Executive Vice President for Central Europe from 2016 to 2021. He has also held various leadership roles in ISS A/S from 2003 to 2016, and worked in diverse management positions in a private equity fund, in consulting and in investment banking sector. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics (Finance and Accounting) from Copenhagen Business School.
