Interview with Tuomas Ruusu, Business Manager of Valmet at FEFCO 2023.
We are here at FEFCO. How do you like the show?
I absolutely love the show. I mean, this is the first time I have ever been to FEFCO. And because my colleagues told me high praises about this event, I had high expectations and they have been met. I would really recommend this to my other colleagues as well.
What did you exactly bring here to the exhibition, what is your main product?
We are representing Valmet’s Automation solutions and the Quality Management solutions. Valmet has a big background in the paper and board industry, and that’s the expertise that we would like to bring to the corrugated industry as well. We are promoting the high-level quality management solutions for the corrugating industry.
What are your exact expectations after the exhibition? Like what achievements would you like to accomplish?
The biggest achievement for us after this would be that we would be able to improve our customers’ efficiency, quality and help them produce more beautiful products in a more sustainable and efficient way.
How did your company perform in 2023? Like maybe what problems did you face and what achievements did you accomplish, what are your results?
Our interim report for Q3 was published two days ago, and you can find all the answers on our website.
Do you have a message for your customers and also for our audience, what is unique about Valmet, about your product, about your team, and what is your main advantage over the competitors on the market?
Our mission is to achieve those joint accomplishments with our customers as well. We love to see those beautiful success stories about how quality was improved and how there is more sustainability and efficiency in producing these beautiful products that we have seen here.
I see you have a kind of product here, can you say a few words about it?
This is a demo version of our Valmet IQ Moisturizer and this is the way how to control the warp in the corrugating industry. This is a demo board version to show how it works. I don’t know if it’s visible in the video, but there’s this really fine mist coming on, and you are able to use that in the whole CD direction and get that warp out of your system.
