VPK Group has announced its acquisition of Open Imballaggi S.p.A., a leading sheet plant specializing in corrugated board packaging. This strategic move strengthens VPK’s presence in Italy, one of Europe’s largest packaging markets, and complements its existing operations with Zetacarton and IEMME.
Open Imballaggi, located near Bergamo in Lombardy, operates from a state-of-the-art 22,000 m² facility. The company, founded by the Marsetti family, has a rich history dating back to 1908 and recently invested €7 million in advanced equipment, including a 6-color rotary die cutter.
With an annual turnover of €30 million and a production capacity of 40 million m² of boxes, Open Imballaggi serves 700 clients across industries such as Food & Beverage, cosmetics, e-commerce, and automotive.
