At the Print4All Conference in Varese, Enrico Barboglio shared with me the story behind the creation of Corrugated Experience, which made its successful debut at Fiera Milano SpA during Print4All 2025. Print4All itself has now shifted from a triennial to a biennial schedule, with the next edition set for 25–28 May 2027 at Fiera Milano—giving organizers a defined window to expand Corrugated Experience before then.

What makes this project particularly interesting is how it was born. It is the result of a collaboration between the two industry associations behind Print4All: ACIMGA (the Italian association representing manufacturers of printing, converting and packaging machinery) and ARGI (the association representing suppliers of the graphic and digital printing industry).
Traditionally, Acimga (Confindustria) has brought together Italy’s leading manufacturers of machinery and technologies for the corrugated and packaging industries. At the same time, ARGI represents the rapidly growing world of digital printing and graphics technologies, many of whose members are now expanding aggressively into the corrugated packaging sector.
By combining these two strengths—the established mechanical engineering excellence of Italy and the innovation of digital technologies—they created Corrugated Experience, a dedicated exhibition and knowledge platform that proved highly successful during Print4All 2025 in Milan.
Encouraged by that success, the organizers are now planning to significantly expand the concept and position it as an international meeting point for the corrugated industry. The event is particularly focused on serving Southern and Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean region, the Middle East, and Africa.
Italy has a unique advantage. Few countries can showcase such a complete ecosystem of world-class suppliers—from corrugators and converting equipment to printing, finishing, automation, software, and every type of peripheral technology. Italian manufacturers remain global leaders in the premium segment of corrugated equipment.
At a time when the European corrugated industry still lacks one clearly dominant gathering, Corrugated Experience has a genuine opportunity to become that central event. With Milan’s international accessibility, business atmosphere, and global reputation, an expanded Corrugated Experience could become the place where the European and Mediterranean corrugated community comes together to discover innovations, exchange ideas, and build new partnerships.
I will be following this initiative closely—it has all the ingredients to become one of the most influential events in the global corrugated industry.
